Mario Tennis Aces could be particularly interesting: it's coming along with a story mode that includes missions and boss battles, and a competent execution could be a powerful new addition to the Switch's local multiplayer stable. The house of N is also offering Kirby Star Allies and Mario Tennis Aces, both available in the Spring. Tropical Freeze was a solid game, though I never picked up Hyrule Warriors despite my unabiding love for the Dynasty Warriors series.
The Dark Souls news came alongside a few more ports for the Switch: the machine will also be getting Hyrule Warriors with some new The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-themed costumes, as well as a version of Donkey Kong: Tropical Freeze with Funky Kong in tow. I'll still be summoning on the bosses, however: I beat Bloodborne without doing so, but I had a lot more time then. That all changed with Bloodborne, and now I'm excited to see what I can make of this pivotal entry in the genre. I'll admit that I never played Dark Souls, because at the time I didn't imagine myself a hard gaming sort of player.
